Mould

Mould is one of the structures that certain fungi can form. The dust-like, colored appearance of moulds is due to the formation of spores containing fungal secondary metabolites. The spores are the dispersal units of the fungi. Mould can spread at a very fast rate. Mould can and often is airborne affecting other areas of the property as well as the air quality.

Mould poses several health hazards, primarily respiratory and allergic reactions, and can also cause fungal infections in susceptible individuals. Exposure to mould spores can trigger allergic reactions like sneezing, runny nose, and skin rashes. In some cases, mould can worsen existing conditions like asthma or cause new respiratory issues.

The affected room or property will require mould removal, mould cleaning and decontaminating.
